Media Coverage - New RNLI boat arrival at Pwllheli

We had the privilege of filming the arrival of the new RNLI Shannon class ‘Smith Brothers’ life boat to its new home and newly build state of the art boat house in Pwllheli, North Wales.

As an accredited drone operator on behalf of the RNLI we had the task of capturing this significant and once in a life time event in the history for RNLI Pwllheli.

A flotilla from Pwllheli, Abersoch, Criccieth and Porth Dinllaen RNLI crews out in the bay to welcome the new Shannon class arrive, and a handful of locals out to witness the new boat arrive it successfully beached its self in front of the new boat house before being retrieved.

Due to COVID restrictions this event was not made public knowledge to try and avoid crowds and help keep crew safety priority.

Dragonflight Drones had the privilege of filming the new boat arrive at the Pwllheli RNLI station so that everyone who was unable to attend had the opportunity to watch after the event when the RNLI issued the press release.
